Snow Clipper to Santa’s Railyard
December 17 @ 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 12:00 pm on Sunday and Saturday, repeating until December 18, 2022
Back by popular demand, it’s The First Gift Express! This personalized gift-giving experience was SOLD OUT last year!
All aboard The Snow Clipper for the First Gift Express!
The Danbury Railway Museum’s Christmas Fundraiser begins Saturday, December 3rd and runs every Saturday and Sunday through December 18th.
Parents: This is a personalized gift-giving experience! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be handing out the first gifts of Christmas, and your kids are the lucky recipients! Bring a pre-wrapped present or select from our online menu (which includes FREE gift wrapping & batteries).
Your ticket grants you full admission to the museum and railyard, where you’ll find artifact displays and antique railroad cars.
When you arrive and check in at our restored 1903 train station, kids and parents will be able to enjoy the museum interior. This includes a Letters to Santa coloring station, operating model railroads, and interesting museum exhibits. (Be sure to include your mailing address, as Santa writes back!)
After a very short train ride in a restored 1950s Rail Diesel Car through historic Danbury Railyard, you’ll be escorted back to the station for a meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus, where the big man himself will give out the first gifts of Christmas!
Afterwards, you are free to enjoy a walk through our railyard with a cup of hot chocolate. Don’t forget the marshmallows!
The museum is open from noon to 7:00 PM on the following dates.
Saturdays: December 3, 10, 17
Sundays: December 4, 11, 18
Note: The 5:00 and 6:30 trains will be dark enough to fully enjoy our lighted railyard!
Tickets are $25 for ages 2 and up. Reservations are required, as space is limited.
Note: Online reservations are suspended 10 hours before a scheduled departure time.
