The Suzuki Music School of Newtown has offered a wide variety of Music Programs for all ages for almost 50 years. From its earliest beginnings, the school strives to develop the whole child through music education. The 2024-2025 School Year kicks off on Tuesday, September 3rd.

Discover the Magic of Process Art and Sensory Play at Busy Buddies Playgroup!
Unlock your child’s creativity and imagination at Busy Buddies Playgroup—a place where little hands explore, create, and learn! From infants through preschoolers, our programs combine the joy of art with the wonder of sensory play, offering a unique experience that engages all the senses.
FALL SESSION DATES: Week of September 2 – Week of October 7 (6 weeks)
PROGRAMS:
*Little Buddies: Intro sensory and art activities for our littlest buddies! A chance for moms/dads/caregivers to connect with our littles and each other, while providing entertainment through developmentally beneficial sensory play activities. All materials used are taste-safe.
–>Time: Wednesdays 9:00 – 10:00 AM
–>Location: 5 Williams Lane, Newtown (outside)
Suggested ages: 6 months – 2 years
*Mixed-Age Sensory Art Play: Art and sensory play activities that invite children to explore and create. Activities are designed to satisfy a wide range of developmental abilities. A unique environment for kids to play and interact. Come find out why this program is adored by both children and adults!

WHAT TO EXPECT:
*Each week will bring a new fall theme with new activities! Each session includes a variety of interactive sensory stations and art projects.
*Children will dive into highly beneficial sensory play activities. Benefits include: enhancing fine motor skills, boosting problem-solving skills, and encouraging social interaction.
*Kids will be given opportunities to foster creativity and become empowered young artists through open-ended process art projects.
*Our playgroups are a child-led experience with caregiver support. Follow your child’s lead, guide them through challenges, and immerse yourself in the experience by their side!
*Programs are designed and facilitated by an early childhood educator with a Master’s degree in education and over 10 years of classroom experience.
*We love to dive into exploration with paint and messy sensory bases. Remember to dress for a mess!

Babies Classes: Learn about you infants musical development, how to initiate musical play as well as respond to musical sounds and movements your Baby is expressing. We will create playful, stimulating activities as well as beautiful bonding moments. Meet other parents, share milestones, sing, dance and play – together.
Music Together Mixed Age Classes (0-5yrs) are perfect for babies and families with multiple siblings. Our developmentally appropriate activities create a fun, rich community music making experience for your child to explore music without the expectation to perform. Our focus is on an adult/ child interaction and fosters an environment in which the whole family learns how to “play musically “ together. Large and small movement, instrument play with egg shakers, rhythm sticks, scarves, drums and so much more are all apart of our musical activities. At home music materials , free app and music development education for parents and caregivers are all included in tuition. Music making happens everyday and anywhere , not just once per week!
Rhythm Kids is the next musical step for your child ages 4 -8 yrs old with parent and caregiver. It is an opportunity for children to experience their first musical instrument, to care for, practice at home and bring to class. Music development unfolds as children explore the world of rhythm through movement, instrument play, musical games and patterns. Our musical environment fosters opportunities for leadership, cooperation, creativity, improvisation, solo and ensemble music play – a musical adventure that lets your child thing and create like a musician!
