All the Details on Area Public Preschool Programs | Newtown Moms

Our public school systems offer preschool programs for children who have disabilities and their typically developing peers (Play Partners). The programs align with the Connecticut Early Learning Development Standards and offer Play Partners the opportunity to serve as role models. This week, Newtown released information on the 2020-2021 program. Applications are being accepted now and an open house date is scheduled for February. In addition, Brookfield, Danbury, Bethel, and New Milford all have similar programs. (Danbury even has a full day preschool option for residents). Details are below.

Newtown – The preschool program is run out of Sandy Hook Elementary and is offered for 3 and 4 year olds. Tuition is $2,400 for the 2020-2021 school year for four half day per week. Parents who are interested in having their child apply to be a Play Partner should visit here. Interested families are also invited to an open house on Friday 2/14 at 2:30PM to learn more.
