Pick Your Own Guide – Where to Go, When to Go, and COVID-19 Updates/Protocols | Newtown Moms

Berry picking is one of our favorite summer activities. It’s relatively easy to plan, and a fun family activity. Plus there’s the added benefit of all the things you can make at home afterward!

In Connecticut, fruit is available to pick through-out the summer starting with Strawberries in mid June. Typical seasons for fruits are listed below, but please remember to check the farm’s website and even call before you go:

  • Strawberries: June & Early July
  • Blueberries: July & August
  • Cherries: July
  • Peaches: July – September
  • Raspberries: July – September
  • Pears: August – December
  • Plums: August & September
