When I was a new mom, one of the first things I ever signed my daughter up for was Mommy & Me yoga. For me, class offered the chance to connect with other new moms, move a bit, and have fun Isabelle. Although she was small, I like to believe those first yoga classes helped to contribute to her easy-going personality.
That’s why I was excited when Bollywood Boutique and Studios contacted me to let me know about their kids’ yoga program. The studio is located on Rt. 25 close to the Newtown border in the Clocktower Plaza. We had the opportunity to try a class last week and I’m happy to share our experience with you today.
Our class, last Wednesday, was a mix of preschool aged kids. The inside of the studio is a huge open space and the kids were able to run around a bit before class began. Christina, the instructor, took the kids through about a half hour class focusing on a variety of yoga breathing exercises, poses, and movement. She had a really great way of captivating the kids’ attention span and encouraging them to move.
Pre-school yoga runs on Tuesdays at 9:30AM and Sundays at 4:15PM.
