Playground Reopening Details: Where to Go & When to Go | Newtown Moms

 

Cities & towns across Connecticut have slowly begun to reopen their outdoor playgrounds as COVID-19 cases continue to decline. If you’re looking to take your kid(s) to the playground this week, below you’ll find information by town.

 

Newtown

Playgrounds at Treadwell and Dickinson Parks opened on Friday 7/3. Play spaces will not be disinfected and visitors needs to wear masks and practice social distancing. Both playgrounds are closed for camp usage M-F from 11AM to 12PM. Non-residents will need stickers. Any questions, call the Parks & Rec office at (203) 426-4340.

 

Danbury

Call Danbury Parks & Recreation office at (203) 797-4500. No information available online as of right now.

 

Bethel

Meckauer and Parloa Parks reopened on Wednesday 6/24 in Bethel. Both playgrounds are being cleaned each morning and bathrooms will be cleaned throughout the day. Bethel Parks & Rec asks that you use hand sanitizer before and after using the playgrounds, practice social distancing, and stay home if you are not feeling well. Brookfield

Parks remain closed at this time.

 

Monroe

The playgrounds at Wolfe Park & Great Hollow Lake opened on 6/26 for residents only. Monroe Parks & Rec asks that you follow social distancing guidelines. Any questions, please call (203) 452 – 2806.

 

New Milford
