Summer Programs are kicking off this week and next at our local libraries. Newtown
Summer reading programs begin 6/20 with the them of “Read Beyond the Beaten Path”. Directions for how your child can participate are found in the flyer below. The staff t the C.H. Booth Library have also planned numerous summer events such as a Magic Show, the return of Tuesday Tunes, and more.
For parents of children age 4-6, the library is also bringing in an 8-week program focusing on phoneics awareness and support. Created by Dr. Caroline Wilcox Ugurlu, “Letters are Characters” is a play based multisensory approach to learning that is fun and engaging for students and empowering for parents. Summer reading kick off party happens on Saturday 6/18 at 10AM. Program will be run through Beanstalk, so please visit danburylibrary.org for more information.
