Are you looking to get in a run or walk before you fully enjoy your Thanksgiving meal? The Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving tradition many families look forward to doing together. This year several of our area Turkey Trots have gone virtual, while a few are in person with COVID guidelines in place. Whatever route you choose, have fun and remember many of these events support local organizations.
Virtual Turkey Trots
Newtown Turkey Trot – Virtual 5K to benefit the C.H. Booth Library. Run or walk the 5K any time during Thanksgiving weekend. $30 race entry fee.
Southbury Women’s Club Turkey Trot – The 10th Annual Turkey Trot will be held virtually this year. Portion of the proceeds will be given to the Southbury Food Bank, Fuel Bank, and Needy Fund.
Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield Virtual Turkey Trot – Virtual 5K from Saturday 11/21 – Thanksgiving benefit the Boys & Girls Club. $30 race entry fee.
In Person Turkey Trots
Bethel Turkey Trot – Start time 8AM on Thanksgiving, participants will start in waves of 50. COVID precautions and guidelines coming soon. $35 race entry fee with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Ability Beyond and Bethel Parks & Recreation
