If you’re looking for something fun to do outside, consider running/walking in a local 5K. Many of the events below support local initiatives and non-profits, as well as include fun runs for kids. Here’s a quick list of what’s currently planned and open for sign-up’s!
5/9 – Cinco de Mama Run – Stratford, CT
Don’t miss out on the first year of this event! Registration is limited to 150 participants.
6/5 – Newtown Rooster Run – Newtown, CT
5K with an option of a 10K course. Race includes a 100 yard “Little Chicks” dash for kids
All proceeds benefit the Newtown Scholarship Association
6/20 – Race for Catherine – Newtown, CT
First ever Race for Kindness benefitting the CVH Animal Sanctuary

6/26 – Fairfield Road Races – Fairfield, CT
Sign up for a 5K or a Half Marathon. Fun run is also planned for kids.
7/31 – Southwest Cafe Margarita Run – Ridgefield, CT
15th annual race benefits Ability Beyond.
8/29 – Sprint for Monroe – Monroe, CT
In-person (limited to 200 people) and Virtual options are available
9/25 – Run4Hunger and Health – Newtown, CT
This year’s race will benefit Newtown Youth and Family Services
