We Need Your Help! | Newtown Moms

The Newtown Fund, established in 1959, was founded with the purpose of establishing emergency relief to Newtown citizens in need. Did you know that in its early days, the fund assisted in providing seed money to hire the town’s first social worker and for the establishment of Newtown Youth & Family Services, the Children’s Adventure Center, the Senior Center, and Nunnawauck Meadows?

One of the annual programs run by The Newtown Fund is the Adopt-a-Family program. Working with social services, The Newtown Fund helps identify and adopt approximately 70-100 families each year. Adopters will receive a list a each family members’ needs, as well as work to provide household essentials.

This year, Newtown Moms is partnering with the Newtown Fund to help fill a local family’s holiday wishlist. Sign up here to help.  All items can be returned to or picked up by Meghan Salonia no later than Thursday 12/15. Drop off address will be provided. Any questions can be emailed to [email protected] or call/text 203-543-1960.
