Today is the day Connecticut enters Phase One of the re-opening, which includes restaurants opening for outdoor dining. I know the decision to head out to enjoy a meal at your favorite restaurant during this time is an incredibly personal one. If you do feel comfortable heading out, you’ll find information on some of our local restaurants below. These business owners have worked incredibly hard to navigate the ever-changing dynamics we’re experiencing right now in order to create safe dining and shopping experiences. Cover Two, Sandy Hook – Opening Wednesday 5/20 and will be open 7 days a week from 11AM to 10PM. No reservations and limited to 5 guests max per table.
The Farmhouse, Newtown – Opening date for outside dining to come. New hours, new menu, and now serving Saturday & Sunday brunch! Open Wed, & Thurs. 4PM – 8PM, Friday 4PM to 9PM, Saturday 11:30AM – 9PM & Sunday 11:30AM to 5PM.
Figs, Sandy Hook – Patio opening May 27th.
Foundry Kitchen & Tavern , Sandy Hook – Opening May 27th.. Hours will be Tues-Friday 4PM – 9PM, Saturday 11AM – 9PM, and Sunday 11AM – 3PM.
Lucas Local, Newtown – Opening May 28th by reservation only (Open Table). Open Thursday – Sundays and take-out service will continue.

Panificio Navona – Outdoor seating available beginning this week.
Reverie Brewing Company, Newtown – Opening Thursday 5/21 from 3PM to 8PM. Friday & Saturday 12PM – 8PM and Sunday 12PM – 6PM. Food trucks will be on there this weekend and are also taking additional safety measures.
The majority of restaurants not on the above list are continuing take-out for the time being. Please remember to follow CDC guidelines if you decide to venture out for a meal and wear your mask when you’re not eating or drinking.
