This Weekend in Newtown | Newtown Moms

This weekend starts with a difficult day for Newtown. At 9:30, our town will observe a period of silence and reflection in remembrance of 12/14.

The Newtown Bee has listed the hours local places of worship and the Resiliency Center of Newtown will be open for members of the community to gather, reflect, and get support. You can read the article here.  My thoughts & prayers will be focused on the lives lost that day and our incredibly strong community.

On Friday, Edmond Town Hall will host a Holiday Laser Light Spectacular .

On Saturday, Tot Town in Brookfield is hosting a Pajama Christmas Party.  Santa will stop by Byrd’s Books in Bethel for a special story time. The Christmas Movie Sing Along is happening at the Newtown Congregational church on Saturday night at 7PM.

On Saturday and Sunday, Goatboy’s Soaps in New Milford is holding one of their annual holiday open houses. Everyone is invited to come up, shop, and visit with the goats. The Danbury Railway Museum is still offering little ones the opportunity to take a train ride to Santa’s special railcar. We went last weekend and loved it! Finally, the Beardsley Zoo is holding a Breakfast with Frosty at 8:30AM.
