If you haven’t voted yet and plan to vote in person tomorrow, here are a few things to keep in mind.
Voter Registration: Although the deadline was several weeks ago, the State of Connecticut allows qualified individuals to register the day of an election by visiting a designated Election Day Registration (EDR) place.
- In Newtown, you would need to register at the Municipal Building at 3 Primrose Street
- In Danbury, you would visit City Hall at 155 Deer Hill Avenue
- For a town by town list of EDR’s, please visit here.
Polls: Polls are open from 6AM to 8PM tomorrow. Bring a form of ID like a driver’s license with you to vote. If you are voting by absentee ballot and have not dropped off your ballot yet, make sure you drop off by 8PM at your town/city’s designated drop off box.
Who’s On The Ballot: We all are well aware of the Presidential Election, but there are also tons of Federal, State, and Local officials on the ballots across our area. You can look up your town’s ballot here. Just be sure to know what district your are part of for the State Senatorial and State Assembly elections.
The above information is from CT.gov page for the Secretary of the State.
